The Division of Cancer Epidemiology
and Genetics (DCEG)’s
Office of
Training and Education oversees the Division’s training
program. There are currently over 100 trainees, including
postdoctoral, graduate, master and postbaccalaureate level
fellows. We also have a vibrant
summer
program.
NCI has been selected more than once as
One of ”The 15 Best Places to Work for PostDocs” by The Scientist
DCEG has won the Inaugural Alexander
D. Langmuir Award for Training Program Excellence and Innovation.
Fellows:
- design, carry out, analyze and
publish population, family,
health disparities and lab-based studies;
- gain experience in study
design, novel analytic techniques, genomics and informatics;
- build skills in molecular
epidemiology, grant writing, science management, and
professional communication and networking.
Competitive stipends, health

Former fellows are placed
in a variety of positions.
