Geneva Cancer Registry of the Department of Community
Health and Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine aims to
compile data for surveillance and research on cancer
pathology throughout the Geneva region in close
collaboration with all cantonal structures (public or
private) involved in the treatment of cancer patients. To

JOB DESCRIPTION:
·
Establish and direct a competitive research program in
cancer epidemiology supported by external funding
·
Co-lead and participate in the operational activities of
Geneva Cancer Registry and lead a research team
· Conduct
methodological research on the collection, management, and
analysis of data from the Geneva Cancer Registry
·
Teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels within
the Faculty of Medicine, with a particular focus on cancer
epidemiology
REQUIREMENTS:
·
MD, PhD or MD-PhD
·
Ability to develop a competitive line of research focused
on cancer epidemiology, with an emphasis on global
research
·
Recipient of competitive research funding and author of
publications in leading peer-reviewed journals
·
Expertise in cancer registration
·
Good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system
·
Ability to collaborate with Swiss and international
university centers and other cantonal cancer registries
·
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French
is required
