Description
The Department of Epidemiology within the Geisel School of
Medicine at Dartmouth, and the Dartmouth Cancer Center invites
applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant or
Associate Professor. We seek applicants to lead an
independent, innovative research program in cancer
epidemiology, including but not limited to cancer prevention,
etiology, early detection, survivorship, health disparities,
molecular epidemiology, environmental epidemiology, or
lifestyle/behavioral research. Dartmouth Cancer Center offers
a dynamic and interactive environment with a commitment to
research excellence. The faculty appointment will be in the
Department of Epidemiology, with membership in the Cancer
Population Sciences research program.
Dartmouth faculty benefit from collaborative interactions
across other departments at Geisel and across campus,
including the College of Arts & Sciences, the Thayer School of
Engineering and the Tuck School of Business. Expectations for
teaching and mentoring are a part of success in this role, and
individuals will have opportunities to become a member of
relevant PhD graduate programs (e.g., the Program
in Quantitative Biomedical Sciences, the
Program in Health Policy and Clinical
Practice, and
the Program in Molecular and Cellular
Biology). In addition to Dartmouth Cancer Center,
candidates may benefit from interactions with existing NIH/NIGMS
Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBREs, e.g. the
Center for Molecular Epidemiology,
and the
Center for Quantitative Biology).

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and relevant
postdoctoral research experience.
