Applications are invited for a full-time behavioral researcher at the level of Associate Professor/Professor to head the new Division of Health Behavior Research and Implementation Science in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health (DEPH) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and to lead community outreach and engagement (COE) efforts in the NCI-designated Albert Einstein Cancer Center (AECC).

Albert Einstein College of Medicine is a leading research institution with a strong commitment to addressing the challenges and research opportunities inherent in the provision of health care to the largely minority population of the Bronx. Einstein is the medical school for the Montefiore Health System (MHS). MHS is an integrated healthcare delivery system comprised of four advanced care hospitals, including a children's hospital; more than 130 primary and specialty care locations; the nation's largest school health program; and the oldest hospital-based home care agency in the United States. The DEPH is well recognized for its multi-disciplinary programs in epidemiologic and prevention research, is the major contributor to the Cancer Epidemiology, Prevention and Control program of the AECC, and contributes to other NIH-funded centers as well.

The successful candidate who fills this position will be expected to: develop/maintain an independent health behavior research/implementation science program; direct AECC initiatives for examining and reducing cancer-related disparities through outreach and engagement programming; mentor division faculty; and teach medical and graduate students. The position, which comes with a generous start-up package including 3 years of full salary support, research funds, and resources for the recruitment of additional COE faculty and staff, will provide opportunities for diverse research experiences and collaboration in a highly collegial academic environment.

The successful candidate will have either a PhD in behavioral research or equivalent, strong verbal and written communication skills, relevant research and teaching experience, a record of sustained peer-reviewed funding, and an extensive record of peer-reviewed publications.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter describing their research and teaching experience and listing contact details for three referees, together with their curriculum vitae, to:
