expand and strengthen our teaching and research
efforts. We are seeking faculty with expertise in the
areas of maternal/child and family health,
environmental health, and causal methods in
epidemiology. Experience and expertise in the
application of AI in public health education and/or

Rank, track and salary will be commensurate with
experience.
The Division of Public Health is in
the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine which
operates a system of 12 community-based clinics
providing unique opportunities for applied studies. We
offer four graduate degrees, including MPH, MSPH,
Master of Statistics in Biostatistics, and a PhD in
Public Health, serving over 100 graduate students.
There are Global Health and Community Health focus
areas, including educational programs in Ghana, Peru
and India. The Department has a very active research
program with ~$16 million in annual research
expenditures. DFPM is currently ranked #2 in NIH funding
among departments of family medicine in the 2024 Blue
Ridge Institute for Medical Research report. We value
collaboration, meaningful engagement with learners and
communities and impactful science. The Department is

Translational Science Institute (CTSI; our NCATS funded CTSA),
