Department
of
Epidemiology
and
Biostatistics

Wen
School

Population
& Public
Health, University

invites applications
for
a
tenure-track
position in
Epidemiology at
the
Assistant
Professor level
or
a
tenured position
at
the
Associate or
Full Professor
level. We
seek
applicants
engaged
in
innovative
research that
advances our
understanding
of
the
causes
and
distribution
of
chronic
diseases or
conditions that
contribute to morbidity,
mortality, and
healthcare costs
in
the
US.
This
aligns with
the
department's
mission to
improve population
health through
research, education,
community
engagement, and
translating discoveries
into practice.
Faculty in
the
Department
of
Epidemiology
and
Biostatistics
(DEB) have
expertise in
cardiometabolic diseases,
cancers, Alzheimer’s disease and Related Dementias (ADRD),
nutrition, genetics and omics, study design methodology,
and advanced
biostatistical
and
analytical techniques.
Faculty members
also lead
campus-wide initiatives.
We
welcome
applications from
candidates whose
research is distinctive,
methodologically
focused,
or
complements
departmental areas
of
focus,
or
aligns
with the
newly established
Center for
Global Cardiometabolic
Health
& Nutrition
at
UCI
(https://sites.uci.edu/cardiometabolic/),
where
several faculty
members are
core
contributors.
The
successful
candidate will
be
expected
to
teach
epidemiology-focused
courses
at
both
the
graduate
and
undergraduate
levels, as
well as
mentor students
and fellows. Evidence of
excellence in teaching, mentorship, and commitment to
student success is required. Academic rank and salary will
align with training,
qualifications,
and
experience.
