The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health (SPH), Texas A&M University, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Consideration will be given to applicants with expertise in any area of epidemiology. This position is a full time, 9-month appointment, with a preferable start date of August 1, 2018.

Job duties will include: teaching up to four courses per academic year, conducting externally funded research, and participating in service to the Department, School, University, and the profession. All faculty are expected to assist with programmatic growth (e.g., new courses), assessment, and strategic development.

Applicants are expected to hold a PhD, DrPH, or ScD in epidemiology or a closely related field or an MD with an MPH from an accredited school of public health or equivalent training. As appropriate for rank, preferred qualifications include: a strong record of securing extramural research/grant funding; expertise in epidemiology methods and concentration areas (e.g., infectious disease epidemiology) that will contribute to the enhancement of the curriculum; and evidence of active involvement in service-related activities. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent research program.
