Indiana University School of Medicineís Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an experienced applied researcher with expertise in clinical epidemiology to provide technical guidance and support for various research projects as we continue to grow and expand our departmental research programs. 

Successful candidates for this role will apply their personal expertise to planning, design, development and methodology, while participating in the conduct of research projects with researchers investigating disease, preventative and control methods, and treatments. This position is responsible for providing consultation and technical assistance on research projects to faculty and researchers; model usage and refinement of research and policy impact; will write strategic plan recommendations for faculty and researchers; and will produce individual as well as team scientific documents, i.e. reports and manuscripts.

Using established scientific and technical methods and practices, this person will apply research and theory application to projects - completing statistical analysis and presenting findings, authoring reports based on this research and participating in the preparation of research proposals including seeking IRB approval.

Minimum qualifications: Masterís degree from an accredited institution in research-related field such as Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy or similar field is required. Must have a comprehensive understanding of scientific theory and practical knowledge methodology.

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution in research-related field such as Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy or similar field.
