National Cancer Institute-funded post-doctoral research position is available at the University of Illinois at Chicago Cancer Education and Career Development Program. The Program offers a multi-disciplinary mentored environment integrating behavioral to biological science research focused on cancer disparities and understanding and preventing cancer. The traineeship provides preparation for an individual who wishes to pursue an independent academic research career in cancer prevalence, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. The trainee will work with established investigators and will be expected to develop research proposals; produce two to three publications per year; and work with a multidisciplinary team.
 
This traineeship is up to two years, renewable each year contingent upon satisfactory performance. Individuals with a doctoral degree in public health, epidemiology, community psychology, sociology or related allied health science degrees with a public health focus are encouraged to apply, as are those from underrepresented groups.
