Position Summary:
The Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health is a leading research department at the University and home to nationally-recognized educational programs.  We are actively seeking faculty with expertise in epidemiology and health services research to collaborate with our interdisciplinary faculty on rigorous and relevant public health research. The Department is the focal point for new initiatives to enhance public health education and research in the state and the region. We are particularly interested in faculty with skills to advance priorities in a number of potential areas, including cancer prevention and control, obesity, infectious disease, reproductive health, health disparities, outcomes research, and general chronic disease.  As part of our teaching mission for the broader University, The Department offers a Masterís of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) degree and supports elective and required courses in our School of Medicine.

Required Qualifications:

Doctorate in Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or a related field.  Demonstrated success in publication with high potential for future research funding.  Advanced training/experience in epidemiology, with the ability to teach intermediate to advanced epidemiology courses. Experience and/or strong interest in mentoring students and junior faculty.

Preferred Qualifications:

         Interdisciplinary skills in cancer prevention and control, obesity, infectious disease, reproductive health, health disparities, outcomes research, or chronic disease.
