The Department of
Epidemiology is accepting applications for a faculty member at the
Research Assistant Professor level in the School of Public Health.
This position will have a 12-month appointment. The successful
candidate should have a PhD in epidemiology and relevant research

The successful
applicant should demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the design
and execution of pharmacoepidemiologic and comparative
effectiveness research in the areas of musculoskeletal,
rheumatological and cardiovascular disease. The applicant should
have experience with conducting observational research with an
emphasis on the assessment of the safety and effectiveness of
agents used to treat osteoporosis, immune-mediated disease, and
cardiovascular disease using data from governmental sources. The
applicant also should have advanced skills in epidemiologic
methods and applied statistical analysis, excellent communication
skills and demonstrable potential for the successful development
of major research projects in the areas of cardiovascular disease,
osteoporosis, and autoimmune disorders.
